I used to do a lot of cross stitch many years ago. I stopped when my concentration span made it impossible for me to do it anymore.

Recently, I've started doing cross stitch again. I did a bird cross stitch for a friend's birthday. (He's bird crazy). I've just started another bird cross stitch, but this is a different one to the first.

I'm hoping that I can start here and continue on with my cross stitching.

Has anybody else recently started doing cross stitch? Or do you have cross stitch projects on the go?

I do cross stitch and embroidery. My mom taught me in the 70's when I had to learn it for my Home EC class. I got an A. Now I am learning Counted Cross Stitch and I am making a bookmark. I like stamped better but I will get the hang of it. Let's hope. I learned stamped first and that's what I always did which is probably why I'm having trouble with the counted stuff.

I have done several cross stitch projects but none lately. I go through cycles between that, scrapbooking, sewing and knitting depending on my mood. Cross stitch can be fun but it can be hard on your eyes and hands so I would suggest using larger number cloth and definitely good lighting. My downfall is getting my work framed when it is completed. I can do the project, but don't seem to get around to the finishing touch.

Hey, Trish, you've got a thread on cross-stitch already going... here.
