Hi all!

I am new to this site. My name is Ada and I live in Southern California. I go to Saddleback church and serve in the children's ministry. I also serve at an orphanage in Ensenada Mexico where I try to go at least twice a month. I love working with children.

A friend told me about this site so I am venturing in getting to know other singles around the USA and hopefully some close to my area.

Blessings

How long have you been posting/lurking?: I've been lurking since November '09! Way too long!

What do you enjoy doing?: I love creating art and going to museums. I also like going to the movies. I go to a young women's Bible study group every Thursday, which is alot of fun.

Tell us a little about yourself: I'm 30 yrs old and single. I'm a good listener, very caring, and I have a great sense of humor. I have a very laid back personality, (Type B all the way :) I'm definitely what you would call an artsy girl. Art is my life, (well, Christ first then Art!)

I have a ballet/dance and jazz/tap background. I also have yoga for 4 or 5 years now. So, I love to stay active. I'm hoping to learn how to ski and rock climb soon. I'm not into team sports although everyone thinks I play basketball since I'm 5'11'',lol!

I work in IT computers, which I never thought I'd end up doing because I really don't like working with computers. I'm actually going back to college to study Art History. My goal is to work in a museum as an Art Curator one day.

How long have you been posting/lurking?: since today

What do you enjoy doing?: working with kids and singing

Tell us a little about yourself: 37, never married, no kids. Live in a rural area near Ft. Knox. Grad Student, currently. Work with Kindergarteners and tutor 3 evenings a week. I read some of the posts before placing this and see that many of you feel alot like I do--friends are married, family is busy, lonliness is almost unbearable at times... Whereas I used to go to church all the time, they've stopped having active singles groups unless it's for Senior Citizens. So, even at church, I have noone. Sounds worse than it is, but I need some type of fellowship with people who have this in common with me....

Name: To be know only to those who know me..I am female by the way.

Location: GA

How long have you been posting/lurking?: a few days, or weeks..not really sure

What do you enjoy doing?: depends on what mood I'm in..reading the Bible, learning things, "window" traveling(looking at pictures/watching videos of different countries), listening to music, playing with musical instruments(can't play any; never had lessons), listening, talking, laughing, and whatever else floats my boat

Tell us a little about yourself:
I'm 24, I was raised Mennonite(but I'm not now; I don't do the denomination thing, and I don't follow any particular preacher because there are too many wolves in sheep's clothing; I read God's word, and let the Holy Ghost teach me), I started reading the Bible cover to cover in '07, I moved to GA in '08, I've always been single, but would like to get married and have children some day, if it's the Lord's will.

How long have you been posting/lurking?: A couple of days

What do you enjoy doing?: Singing in the worship band, meeting up with my home group, hanging out with friends, travelling, photography, anything involving snow.

Tell us a little about yourself: I'm 29, single, attend my local church in a medium sized UK town that I moved to a couple of years ago. I try to get involved in church activities and have made some amazing friends there who I love dearly. However I'm the only single one. In fact I'm my church's resident 'single girl' and it's not through choice! Hoping to find some likeminded people here as well as some advice and inspiration.

I've also recently started a blog about my experiences as the single girl at church and things that I've found interesting or helpful if anyone's interested. I'd love other opnions.

Hey, new here.

Just started lurking today, felt like adding my 2¢, so here I am.

I'm 30, single (which is fairly apparent by my posting here on the singles board and all...). I play the piano at my church, love reading, time with friends and family...oh, and I love Lost. I'm also just one of a very, VERY small handful of single girls my age at my church. And the single guys at my church...well, they're all in college. And I'm not a cradle robber. Just sayin...

I'm eagerly waiting for the day that the one I've been waiting for comes into my life.

Hello,

I am Psalm100. I have been posting on the single forums for awhile now. I enjoy every minute of it. I am in my early 30's, single, and no children. I am struggling with being single. Every day is a challenge, but I have put my faith and trust in Jesus. It's good to know that He knows me and that He has a plan for my life. Now I wait and seek the Lord for what He will have me to do with my life. I love forward to corresponding with all of you.

Seeking Him Always,
Psalm100
