Rented and watched Night Train tonight, with Steve Zahn and Danny Glover. Started as a noir-ish thriller (strangers trapped on a train during a Christmas Eve blizzard, with a treasure onboard that everyone is after) and about halfway in started taking a very Twilight Zone-like turn. It ended very weirdly. I think Rod Serling would approved. I liked it. A lot.

The Omen
Quarantine
Ratatouille[/b[
Resident Evil: Disintegration

If there were such a thing as an animated horror flik, you'd be set.

Just bought the tenth anniversary edition of Galaxy Quest. Still fall-down funny, with more inside-Trek jokes than you could shake a qautloo at.

Confessions of a Shopaholic --- yeah, I'm a girlie girl. I like chick flicks.

And my best friend gave me an extra DVD copy she had of the documentary about fans of Firefly and Serenity. {which... we are... fans, that is}

There are some good ones from Japan (who are masters of both horror films and animation), but it is definitely a genre that needs more presence in the animation medium.... not something we'll see produced in the US (at least not for some time--though with Coraline and 9 last year it looks like our animation might be getting a BIT darker) , seeing how our culture tends to see animation as being "only for kids", with the random exception of some low-budget television shows like South Park/Simpsons/etc.

Break out the popcorn.

I bought the new Star Trek at Best Buy for $16.95.

Usually I wait until they hit the $5 bin, but I really wanted to see it again, and again.
