((((Tracy)))) death is such a horrible thing to go through. I wish I understood why people have to die. I don't. Grief sucks.

Roberta, I don't know what you are going through, but you are in my prayers.

It's in my prayer request thread. If you're up to it, just follow the link in my sig.

Hi Tracy and Roberta, I am very sorry that y'all are going through such a hard time!

Hi Everyone else out here too!

Death is very hard to deal with. It almost always shakes me up when I hear of someone passing. My empathy to you Tracy. (((((((Hugs))))))

My day went ok, its been a very challenging week! This weekend has been good though. Yesterday a friend from out of town visited and we hung out and did a lot of touristy type stuff. It was fun!

Church today went really well too! Now I am home and I gotta deal with my stuff again. It hoovers, but I will make it through. Some days I just feel the tug and wish I was set free!

I hope everyone is doing ok and hope to talk to ya all real soon!

Mike, sounds like things are going okay for you.

Praying for everyone.

I'm doing well, even though I bruised my foot between my pinky toe and the next one on the metal frame of the shower stall. Also, I'm a little uptight about the system tonight, since I tried to update my profile and it wouldn't work.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, when I'll eat German chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting and find out what I'm getting for another anniversary of my 39th birthday!

I'm posting an update to our housing search in my prayer thread.

Not sure if today or yesterday was your birthday, Melissa. Nevertheless, happy birthday, sister!
I, too, can have a difficult time dealing with a death, particularly if it is sudden. But, I also, find great comfort if I know the person was a christian. It helps to know they are resting in the arms of Jesus, no more suffering, pain, etc.
Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone.

Thank you, Roberta and Melissa!

I'm doing well today, mental health wise. I went to my Christian support group this morning and received encouragement from group members. I need to go more often, as well as go back to church, no matter how stressed I am.

I finished the extra therapy that I was doing. I kinda became attached to the counselors and the structure that I was having. While a lot of the information was overwhelming to take in, I did learn a couple of new skills that I can live with.

I really want to go to a meeting today, but I am having a hard time with the idea of leaving the house. Even the thought of getting in the shower is overwhelming right now.

Hi Roberta, do take that shower, it will help! I am in a minor funk right now. With it being the weekend, I am not hardly doing anything so far but sleep. I did make it out for breakfast earlier this morning though.

This has been a rough day for me. I had to take an extra low dose of Risperdal because I was upset at the thought of going to the cemetery and facing my elderly relatives' grave, one of whom died in February. I was able to go though, but it wasn't easy. Afterwards, we had KFC and brownies for supper.

Roberta, there are some days that I don't feel like a shower either, but I do anyway, because I don't want people talking about how bad I smell.

I did make it to my meeting and I got a keyring token for 9 months clean. I actually have close to 10 months, but I haven't been able to get to a meeting for a while.

It's not a matter of feeling like showering. I actually feel like showering quite often. The shower itself is a problem. It's very small and enclosed. It's approx. 30"x30". Almost anytime someone new uses our bathroom, they comment on how tiny the shower is.

When we first bought this house in '96, my husband wanted to take out the drawers and one of the cabinets and extend the shower and put a tub in. That would have made the shower at least twice the size it is now. I told him that I didn't think we needed to do that because we had the upstairs bathroom (which is now non-working) if anyone wanted to take a bath. Silly me said no because I didn't want to lose my storage space in there. I wish I'd known then that I was going to go on medication that would cause me to have phobias that I never had to deal with before.

Since that shower now needs to be replaced and we have a grandson on the way who will need to take baths, I think I might talk to him about that idea again.

Hi everybody. I thought I would just check in because I know I haven't been here in a while. I have just been having a hard time and didn't really want to complain, but things just keep getting worse. The day of my aunt's funeral, my mom's sisters and my mom all got into an argument over a poem that I found and was going to read at the service. It got to the point that my mom said she was done and left. We didn't know where she went and if she was going to be at the funeral. When my aunts didn't get her to answer her phone, they started to call me. I tried my hardest to remain calm and just be what I should be but that didn't work so well. It is a long story, but the sisters all (minus my mom) decided that it was not my place to read this poem that my aunt gave to MY mom and it all went downhill from there. I know people do some weird things when someone close to them dies, but it was just not good. One of my aunts called me and I just let it out to her that I was sick of them calling me and that they needed to understand that this funeral wasn't about them as much as my aunt's husband and children and that her children were making the arrangements and if anyone were to decide anything it would be them. I was called a child, had the bible thrown in my face and told to "bring my mom around to agree with them" That is the short and nice version of this story.

But I just feel so tired and drained and wiped out. I feel like I have nothing left in me and I just can't figure out how to get some of that desire to do anything back. Right now, I would literally do anything. I know that I have lows and highs, but I just feel lower than low. I saw my p-doc today and walked out of there feeling pretty drained, but then I saw my therapist right after that and I ended up just telling her I needed to go home. I made the appointments back to back because they are close to eachother, but not my house so it was just easier.

I don't even have any words to describe how I feel. I am just sick of many people in my life. I am sick of trying to put on the happy face, and I just want to be alone and do nothing. Every time I close my eyes, I see my aunt lying in that hospital bed, or in her casket, or the hearse driving away with her in it. I just can't take those visions anymore. Medication doesn't seem to be doing anything and my doc said that at this time, they probably don't seem like it.

Anyway, this is exactly why I was trying to stay away. I am so sorry to dump on you guys. I just feel beat up and really tired.

((((((Tracy)))))) I'm praying for you. Dealing with the death of a loved one can be hard, especially when family members have trouble getting along during that difficult time. We've experienced that here when my elderly relative died. Just remember one thing, stay trusting in God and take care of yourself, so that you can handle the stress without losing your mind (no pun intended).

How is everyone else today or tonight?

I'm doing really well, since I found out some very good news yesterday. I feel like a load has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Tracy - I don't think you "dumped on" anyone. It sounds like what you're going through is a normal part of grieving.

Melissa - what is your good news? (I can't get to your blog right now.)

I could be doing better right now, I am in a serious rut at the moment. I have been feeling down and sleeping a lot. I am posting here on CW now though, so this shows a vast improvement in my mood. I also rented a disk from Netflix watching old episodes of how I Met Your Mother. Funny stuff!

I didn't post it in my blog, but I posted the good news in my prayer thread.

I'm happy about my good news, but it's getting stressful around here, as we make preparations to move. I'm crying more and being told by one person that it's okay to cry, but everyone else says it isn't. I do miss my elderly relative now more than ever!

I'll be glad when we're moved out of this house, so all of this pressure and drama can cease! It will be better for all of us, including Smokey, who's not coping well with the change in circumstances. Hopefully, he'll recover when we are finally settled into our new home.

Hi Mike, I'm doing better today. Not as much pain as I was in yesterday. How are you doing?

Melissa, great news about finding a home. Moving can be a good thing, but it often brings stresses of it's own.

Tracy, I've been thinking a lot about you and hope that you're doing OK.

Good morning Roberta, glad to hear that you are doing better!

I am doing ok, but a little down, but I should be ok though. My tummy is bothering me a little bit, so I have to be careful with that. Regarding me feeling down, I felt in my spirit to "let go and let God." I am just trying to figure out totally what that means though.

Hi Melissa, I am doing ok, just tired and feeling rather discouraged and a little worried these days. I do not want to post here why, but lets just say I need some red tape straightened out for some income to be coming in again.
